And whilst it is definitely cold, treacherous, and misery-inducing, it also makes for some fantastic images. So I'm goin to be posting a few that I've taken whilst at home and out and about.<p>These two pics were taken from my porch on Saturday night-it's the snow in my front garden. It was snowing heavily at the time of these pics being taken, and there was an eerie orange glow in the sky.<p>Everything feels so calm and peaceful when it's snowing!<p>Comments, as always, much appreciated.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02400377122920845660noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3340416344805527223.post-9119590146655967482010-01-05T01:22:00.000-08:002010-01-05T01:23:18.435-08:00The Phone Is Back!Well, Nokia exceeded my expectations. Despite them not communicating with me, providing me with any updates, I love them. Why? Because last week, unexpectedly, my trusty old N95 was returned... Looking brand new! New screen, new keypad, new fascia, it's practically a new phone!<p>And what a great time to get it returned, with all this snow here in the UK there's gonna be some fabulous pictures to take. So keep checking back.<p>Thank you, and well done, Nokia.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02400377122920845660noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3340416344805527223.post-2658232481025952912009-12-18T02:03:00.000-08:002009-12-18T02:09:40.943-08:00My Nokia N95: Off for Repair!<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Alrighty There People!</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Well, no posts at the moment because my N95 is off to have the screen repaired - hopefully.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">To be quite honest, I'm quite narked. Not so long back, the zoom/volume control on my N95 stopped working. I was absolutely gutted about this, but contacted Nokia. They told me not to worry, the phone had a 24 month warranty. Fantastic!</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I just had to take it to my local Nokia Care Centre (local being a 40 minute drive away).</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Anyway, to cut a long story short, the phone had to stay in over the weekend because they didn't have time to fix it. I picked it up, it was fixed, woohoo.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">But then - not so woohoo. The screen started intermittently going off. Not totally off, I could make out that there was something on screen, but not exactly what. This happened when sliding the screen either up or down. I also realised that something underneath was catching, but I wasn't sure what it was. I put up with it, until last weekend, the screen stopped working totally.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Now, the phone hasn't been dropped, it's kept in a leather case, and I take good care of it. And this problem started when I got it back from the Nokia Care Centre.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">So I wrote to them again, and they asked me to send it in, as I refused to take it back to my 'local' Nokia Care Centre.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">The phone went back yesterday, so now I'm using a Nokia 6600. It's like a trip down memory lane!</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I'll keep you posted with what' happening.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I may even post the email of complaint I sent to Nokia...</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><br /></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02400377122920845660noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3340416344805527223.post-48692845182567554082009-12-09T10:16:00.001-08:002009-12-09T10:18:31.101-08:00Rubik's Cube<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Lsh7vSQ0BMo/Sx_p7EisbuI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/wAVoYaGzUxQ/s1600-h/06102008448.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Lsh7vSQ0BMo/Sx_p7EisbuI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/wAVoYaGzUxQ/s400/06102008448.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413302478163439330" /></a><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">Here's a picture that I took whilst bored at work one day - it's a Rubik's cube!</span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:arial;">I love this picture - now I need to find out how to solve it!</span></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02400377122920845660noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3340416344805527223.post-28692417478768970872009-12-02T00:06:00.001-08:002009-12-02T00:06:45.380-08:00Ice on the Window<p class="mobile-photo"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Lsh7vSQ0BMo/SxYgFYSg1tI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/LCtfO8M73gY/s1600-h/011220091243-705381.jpg"><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Lsh7vSQ0BMo/SxYgFYSg1tI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/LCtfO8M73gY/s320/011220091243-705381.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5410547279123764946" /></a></p>Yesterday was freezing-literally. It's of Tower Bridge.<p>Now, I initially wanted an amazing pic of the bridge, in all it's glory, which I was going to take from London Bridge. But. When I got to London Bridge and looked across, there was a massive cover over the left half of the bridge, where repairs were being carried out. My dream pic was ruined. So instead, I walked along the Thames for a bit, until I actually came to the bridge, and decided to snap this pic instead. <p>I think it's great, the architecture on the bridge is awesome.<p>What do you think?<p>Comments, as always, much appreciated.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02400377122920845660noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3340416344805527223.post-77693683833046351992009-10-30T05:17:00.000-07:002009-10-30T05:21:01.710-07:00The Bus at Beamish<p class="mobile-photo"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Lsh7vSQ0BMo/SuraLonNgjI/AAAAAAAAA1w/1MlTaUOkaIA/s1600-h/291020091077-761711.jpg"><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Lsh7vSQ0BMo/SuraLonNgjI/AAAAAAAAA1w/1MlTaUOkaIA/s320/291020091077-761711.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5398366996772258354" /></a></p>Yesterday I was at Beamish Open Air Museum-a museum that looks at life years ago, when coal mining was the industry and such.<p>I was there as event staff for an event, so I didnt manage to take half as many pictures as I would've liked to, but I did manage this snap.<p>It's the tour bus that takes visitors around the museum.
